inGenious, European Schoolnet

Shaping the future of maths and science education

inGenious is the European Union’s most significant investment to date in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) education. It brings teachers across the European Union together with industry partners such as Shell, Philips, Intel, Telefonica and Nokia to excite pupils about STEM studies and careers.

inGenious is managed by European Schoolnet and the European Roundtable of Industrialists. It aims to reinforce young European's interest in science education and careers and thus address anticipated skills gaps within the European Union.

With a grant of €8 million from the European Commission's 7th Framework Programme, and the support of 25 partners from 15 countries, inGenious is one of the largest and most strategic projects in science education undertaken in Europe.

Gold Spark developed the marketing communication strategy for this flagship European Commission project. Working with European Schoolnet collaborators, Gold Spark managed the redesign of the inGenious website, the production of ‘Ignite your future,’ a video for schools on STEM careers, PR planning and campaign development. Gold Spark currently consults on the execution of inGenious marketing communications, supporting the evolution of the inGenious website, development of newsletters, creation of promotional videos and planning of pan-European campaign promotion.
